Pour le juriste Daniel Borrillo, la proposition du député RN Jean-Philippe Tanguy sur la réouverture des maisons closes offre l’occasion de revisiter un sujet sensible et nécessaire.

Some good news.
A double dose of good news on the infectious disease front:
There’s not just one but two new drugs coming for gonorrhea, one of the most worrying diseases when it comes to antibiotic resistance.

Times Roman is now aspirational in some circles. 🐰https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2025/dec/10/calibri-is-this-really-the-worlds-wokest-font
Calibri: is this really the world’s wokest font?
It was the Windows typeface for 17 years – and adopted by the Biden administration for its readability for those with visual impairments. But Marco Rubio has ruled that Calibri lacks ‘decorum’

I can't wait to read this! I fondly remember my mother's gadgety pill case. It was seen on kitchen counter, dining room table, wherever. But when I began taking The Pill as it was called, I had a rectangular foil blister pack...

If he *actually* believed in God, he wouldn't do so many things that the Church teaches will send him straight to Hell.

That's literally disinformation. There's no evidence that "God" is creating milk for babies. Should be illegal for a health secretary to promote religious explanations of this sort.
And he's peddling creationism along w this nonsense ....milk that "God made."

”The Muse's wing too often lifted him off his feet. He made infinite excursions to the right and the left.”
Bob Crumb coming out of retirement just to say "RFK Jr. is right about vaccines and my ex-wife should've taken more advice from me" is such a fitting end to Boomer Americana and everything the "alt-comix" movement claimed to stand for

This thread may contain misinformation, but the entrance does exist. And I used it.

Let's just call it eugenicism, privatisation or bad policy. Bringing up "Darwin" inadvertently supports creationists who would like to banish evolution from your kid's curriculum. There's got to be a better way to describe people who misuse or misunderstand the concepts of Charles Darwin...

The ACIP meeting today was a disgrace. What a bunch of nincompoops. Making things up, can't even figure out what they're voting on. It's a clown show. Except it isn't funny. Lives are at stake and the worst people are in charge.

The Starbucks settlement is impressive, and it's okay w/ me if the current mayor wants to boast about it. I've read that it's the largest labour settlement in the history of NYC. Congratulations to all who worked on this, and solidarity w the ongoing strike. www.pbs.org/newshour/eco...
