We oppose violence & oppression of civilians for any reason. Our condemnation of the Bondi Beach attack stands firm, as does our condemnation of Netanyahu & his American enablers.

There is little that is more vile than the taking of another’s life – but it tests the bounds of all decency to twist that crime into a self-serving narrative to justify genocide, apartheid, & dispossession.

We also condemn Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s attempt to exploit this tragedy for political gain by blaming the attack on Australia recognizing the legitimacy of a Palestinian state, as if acknowledging Palestinian humanity were itself an act of terror.

We grieve for the victims of this antisemitic attack & for the survivors who will carry lifelong trauma from an active shooter event.

We reject this act of antisemitic violence unequivocally.

This was a moment of both tragedy & solidarity, highlighting that our fight is not about one religious identity vs. another, but of our shared humanity & right to dignity & freedom.

Two gunmen ambushed the event & opened fire on families. More than a dozen people were killed & dozens more were injured, until a courageous fruit vendor, a Muslim immigrant, intervened & took down the surviving gunman, ending the attack after being shot twice himself.
