I love how @saravanderwerf.bsky.social does this before exploring visual patterns with one of the cases, then encourages Ss to count the same way for the other cases before generalizing.

We are currently working on this in our district. I will add some of the resources when I am at my computer. We looked at our current calculus students and who was placed in different courses in 6th grade. There was a large discrepancy based on race. This is what started our conversation.
