Appreciate faciliting with UCSD Math Project on their Summer Institute. Teachers get together for a week of learning, and then implement. They’re learning with students in the Summer!  We are exploring gear ratio today as we continue to explore proportional reasoning.

Had the pleasure of observing 7th grade classrooms today doing thin slicing! Two step equations with decimals. The task was actually out of the BTC green book for elementary but very relevant to their current unit. #iteachmath #btcthinks

Who uses or knows about the five-step curricular process from the Algebra Project?! I was today year's old when I learned about it, and I'm embarrassed that I didn't know.

♾️ using collaborative, whiteboards while exploring @desmos.bsky.social lesson on scaling state part 2. Accidentally used the warm-up scale of 1 cm to 40 to compare instead of the actual activity, 1 cm to 50 to compare, but the students still did great! #iteachmath #BTCthinks
