Wow, thanks! The galley foist was a vessel used on the Thames during pageantry: it carried musicians and (usually) cannon, and was highly decorated with flags and the like. This is the record that prompted my question.

The current building is mostly 16th/17th century. It originally had a very large churchyard, which was used to stage plays until the mid 16th century. Now a guild church: here are the Fishmongers' Company arms on the ceiling.
