Apologies for the AI slop, but this was the quickest way I could visualise it - like one continuous thread of sound - almost like smoke - weaving it's way around the scene toward the protagonist.

Teaching myself as an adult to play an instrument having failed as a child to be taught to play one - I would say the key is to play things that sound 'cool'. No one wants to endlessly play twinkle twinkle and little brown jug. Find songs and riffs you identify with and can build upon.
