I do a lot of things and it's statistically unlikely that I'm bad at all of them. 📊🖥️🎻📸 🔭🏳️‍🌈♾️
Some people only care about queer rights when pretending to care can be weaponised against another of their targets.

This is timely and appreciated.

Has Sean Bean been contacted about potential involvement? I'd buy that skin.

Rowan Atkinson should be contacted as well.

I grew up somewhere where many primary and secondary schools had piss troughs. Not elongated urinals, just piss troughs set into the floor. Always thought it was wild.

Probably easier to clean?

But think of the physics! Think of the splash!

So you might have a transformer/auto encoder LLM for language processing, some CNNs/RNNs for sensory processing, and something else entirely for *reasoning* once data is collected and preprocessed.

I don't think the academic AI community ever thought LLMs would be _the thing_ that achieved AGI. There's an idea called modular AGI that imagines a system built from specialized modules leveraging different AI technologies, similar to how animal brains have specific parts for specific tasks.

The Jackson Flat-5

You know, because a flattened perfect 5th is diminished?

The top of column N is a wildly understated version of a few possible events.

It appears so!

Makes me wonder if sap in English and saft in German are connected. Imma Google it, but I wanted to register the guess here first :p

I can't explain it, but it feels like writing 2026 will be the weirdest transition for me yet, and that's from nearly half a year out...

That just sounds like environmental humanism with extra steps.

Kind of like how you might say "statute of limitations" to refer to a crime that's beyond a prosecution deadline, because just saying "statute" is very broad. I think we'll collectively lose some tech literacy if we let "algorithm" get pigeon-holed into one specific use case (content recommenders).
July 3, 2025 at 6:24 AM
I'm not disputing how that works at all. You know better than I do. It's just that the word algorithm itself doesn't refer to choosing what to show people. An algorithm is behind liking or sharing a post, and an algorithm says to deny access for a wrong password. Most websites have many algorithms..
