Oh, Good Life TV. They had some nice stuff in rotation, like the color Gleason shows from Miami.

<Les Nessman voice> Ooooooh! </Les>

I remember when the only time TV Land would drag this out is for a marathon of holiday shows.

How’s the picture quality on these?

If he did, the correlation to television would be uncanny.

In 1979, David Letterman played EST-esque Ellsworth on “Mork & Mindy”.

Today, that would equate to clown prince Jimmy Fallon playing one in an SNL cameo.

How far we have fallen.

If you can modify it for all-region play, even better.

It even appears that “During the Canada Post strike, please access the digital edition of TV Week here” so get a nice look while you can.

I actually picked up a Vancouver-centric TV listing magazine my most recent trip, first I’ve ever seen while there.

It also came with a subscription card, which I debated sending in until I saw the stamp was “free postage in Canada.”

Thanks. The acknowledgments show Bashe conducted interviews with a stunning amount of people from Rick’s life, including Defore, so I’m inclined to consider it truthful.

I’d like to see what the contemporary coverage was about it, either in legitimate newspapers or the tabloid magazines/TV Guides.

I know I’m practically two years late, but it’s been nagging me that I haven’t posted about it.

Page 43 of Philip Bashe’s 1992 Rick Nelson biography “Teenage Idol, Travelin’ Man” has a paragraph about Don Defore’s end on the show.

Transferring from radio, The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet, but a strong argument can be made for I Love Lucy/My Favorite Husband.

They’re really becoming unhinged now that the adults are restoring the narrative.
