Is this display running some embedded Linux? It can occasionally be seen rebooting and displaying its kernel version. But normally these have 3 digits?

Taking some notes in #typst. By now I can realize some things, only to discover that I don't know how I exactly want them. E.g. spacing around the colon in a definition of a map?

Wenn ich meine Dreiecke in meine Kreisschachtel packe, ist es auch immer so. Am Anfang gibt man sich noch Mühe, aber am Ende schmeißt man die Dreiecke einfach nur noch rein.

It's always worthwhile to take your math ideas and problems outdoors, but then how are you going to take notes?

Our server is full of strange machines I don’t understand. Sometimes they take me there, and they produce XP, gold, iron, gunpowder, or whatever else.

In our family, it’s the fifth grader who’s the village elder on the server. I sometimes play, but with limited time or “during vacation” -- I haven’t gotten very far. So our survival world is mostly shaped by a gang of fifth graders.

#Minecraft is actually a quite nice simulation of life. You’re just dropped into the world — and then what?
Well, just like in real life: first survive, then find something you enjoy doing.
And maybe get along with other people, too.

What does it say about a math professor if some anonymous entity fixes this to their doorknob?
BTW. I also got a 3D-Printer for my wedding in 2014 and the GPLv3 as an audiobook for my birthday around 2009.

Ich stand gerade gestern vor einem ähnlichen Problem!! Das Logo der Markov Bases Database (markov-bases.de) ist eine niedrig-auflösende Bitmap.

It's from a statistics journal. We got 'minor revision' with two reports which are both positive and one is basically saying nothing. Instead of saying nothing in the old-fashioned way, it is structured exactly like chatGPT would structure its output, contains way too many adjectives, etc.

Immer mehr Unis machen so machine in the middle attacks auf die E-Mail ihrer Leute und fügen dort solche HTML(*seufz*) Warnung ein, für alle E-Mails die nicht "vom Campus" kommen.
Als ob das eine sinnvolle Unterscheidung wäre. 🤦♂️
