An Abersychan barber stole a car after blocking the road with cones and a diversion sign and threatening the driver with a hammer and a penknife.

He was also charged with a seperate offence of dangerous driving after reaching speeds of up to 75mph in a 30mph limit as he tried to evade the police.

Disqualified driver Perry Dyson crashed during a high-speed police chase as he attempted to avoid being caught at the wheel for a second time in a month.
