Wanted to test a lava base before I put the paint down on the mini I’m working on and ended up painting a bunch waiting for it to dry. I still don’t quite understand how to use the water gel but dry brushing saberite on the green one looks pretty neat

Omg this was so fun to paint! Dominion was my intro to Warhammer so to have a second box means I get to really flex what I’ve been practicing. I usually avoid dry brushing but can’t deny how well it worked out!

Every color blended on the shawl was fighting me, but I was able to get it pretty close to what I was imagining! Even did some dry brushing on the banner but my dumb ring light washed it out

Time for a Mel Tip! If you want to take pics like mine it’s really easy if you have the right hardware. All you need is a light box set with a tripod from Amazon and a phone with a night mode setting. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max but I hear some Samsungs have it now.

Spent awhile blocking out the “leather” in a way that seemed organic. Also solved my ork skin problem by using a new pot rather than one that dried out months ago

Played Kirby Air Riders for a bit last night and really enjoyed it. I’ve been wishing for a port since the Wii U, so getting a whole new game 20 years later feels amazing.

Had to get this Boy done before the post office closed so I couldn’t get good lighting for pictures, but it’s all good! I’m happy with what I was able to do in a short amount of time

Selling the cataphactii in boxes of 6 is vile. I still play 2nd so I would have to buy 5 boxes instead of 3 to make a nice round 30 models. That’s an extra $140 pretax, and as a personal gripe there’s no twin lightning claws.

The spawn overload trick in zone 20 is super easy and works like a dream if anoyone else is shalpha hunting. Of course Steelix isn’t in the pool because that would be too easy
