Was very taken with Mia Goth in 'Frankenstein', especially in her role as Elizabeth. She's an excellent foil to Isaac's Victor and who sees in the Creature spiritual and human dignity. Her scenes with the Creature are heartbreaking. It's an interesting change from the novel.

I found Oscar Isaac's take on Victor Frankenstein very compelling indeed. There is something of Peter Cushing's Frankenstein in Isaac's portrayal; the narcism, the pride and arrogance. Still there remains a complex humanity to him. The physical trauma he undergoes is fascinating.

Jacob Elordi's turn as the Creature is beautiful. His Creature is a sensitive, intelligent being, prone to extraordinary violence when roused. It's wonderful to have a cinematic depiction that sticks to Shelley's vision. I felt great despair for him.
