The trackballs come with the Svalbard as an option built in to both sides, it's really unique:

and some of them can come out of health savings accounts as well.

I looked up how much carpal surgery was and how long it would take to recover from and how it isn't even guaranteed to fix it, and thought 'what else is on the table' and allowed myself to have a keyboard and ergo setup that is pricy, but way cheaper than my deductible.

The expense held me back, but my old ergo keyboard was dying, and I was getting wrist pain flare up in my right hand, so I thought I would see if this would help.

And having the trackballs just under your fingers, that is helping my wrists so much!

As one reviewer said, these things really are the endpoint of keyboard evolution, and once you use and get adjusted to one you really can't imagine going back. The dactyl manuform at my office feels crude now.

... it's this very gentle, flicking motion that at the same time floats lightly over the keys, fingers just kissing them and the letters appear.

But it's so less force, at first I constantly misfire. Now, it's starting to gel.

But I can tell this is going to be a total win for my hands, already I am starting to want to bring this contraption into work so that I am easier on my hands there as well.

It's very delicate to type on, but that's what your fingers love, and when you get going...

Learning to move your fingers to the sides for the lateral keys on this thing is a trip, but the force required is so small it really becomes second nature, just like other motions, but it is very alien at first, no lie, there's some neuroplasticity benefits here I am sure!

Yeah, the writers talk.

it's such a loss

Sadly, yeah, I've had to turn down some work because of how extractive it was.

That is so dope!

Friends, I'm in tears over this. Sheila is the first editor I ever worked with. I was 20. She deserves better bosses than this. She and Trevor and Sheree have all proven themselves again and again to be really good and decent people in this field. MRM should not use them as reputation shields.
