If the sandwich don’t split, you must acquit
Defense says that the officer's testimony was "very questionable" because he said the sandwich both exploded in spray of mustard and onions and also landed in its wrapper on the ground.

I think when creative writing professors reach the point when they are too in academe that they can only ever write autofiction about midlife crisis creative writing professors going through banal and irritating situations of their own making that they should be sent on some kind of spirit journey

Silly Jimmy Kimmel. He should have just called for all homeless people to be killed and he’d still have a job.

I feel bad for my students who when they heard that gunshot knew that what they had been doing drills for their whole school lives was now happening in front of them. They deserve a better world.

Loving Paisley Rekdal's writing in the NYT. Soldiers would benefit a lot more from hearing poets and experts on war than being taught to be submissive to Trump at every turn as if they were a Royal Army.

Tech Inevitability around AI is the most irritating fallacy. Why would anyone think that an annoying technology that people don't widely like and which is environmentally unsustainable and difficult to monetize will never go away?Weren't we all supposed to be teaching and learning from MOOCs by now?

I had a pretty excellent night but then took the eldest out to Swig and drank a 44oz diet soda like a madman. This Utah soda life is no joke.

Having sat through sales pitches for these kind of AI services they make teachers just consumers of external products and plug kids into services they don’t fully understand. The idea that textual analysis would be enhanced by talking to an AI plagiarism bot pretending to be Anne Frank is wild

I am grieving the barbarism that is going to unfurl from all this. People are going to die. Livelihoods gone. All to feed a corrupt kleptocracy.

I see every day up close how different it is from the first time around. There are no guardrails. A disaster. I’m sorry we have to live through this.
