Bumped into a couple of fellow YouTubers while at Everything Electric Farnborough today (@tillathenun.bsky.social and UpsideDownFork). Plus loads of viewers said hello, which was lovely. Going back tomorrow so if we missed you today feel free to say hello tomorrow. Great job, @bobbyllew.bsky.social

I've just been updating our monthly stats for how much we generate from our solar array, and how much electricity we've consumed. My aim has been to reach the point where we generate as much in one year as we consume, and we're now super close! Only 100 kWh net consumption over the last year! #solar

Top tip to anyone thinking about making this sort of comment on a YouTube video: if you wouldn't say it to a stranger on the street, don't say it to a stranger on the internet. Even if you think you know that person, they don't know you.

Well, that was a fun day at the @octopus.energy Energy Summit. The best bit was meeting up with these legends though: @tillathenun.bsky.social, @sarahgogreen.com, and @speaktothegeek.co.uk.

I love that I can see the partial solar eclipse in my solar generation curve too. #solar

My high tech equipment for viewing the partial eclipse. Stand back, I'm about to try science!

@gjuk.bsky.social Hi Greg. I noticed something interesting when using Flux last summer. The peak in grid carbon intensity happens later than the peak Flux period (see chart showing my export vs grid carbon). I wonder if there's room for a tariff to encourage lowering grid carbon by exporting later?

This is our resident creepy squirrel. He likes to watch us through the window.

Our neighbour's cat, Olive, likes to visit us sometimes.

A bit of blue sky (plus a Spitfire) for Bluesky today. I've spotted this little fella a few times recently near where I live. No idea where they're based.

Exhibit B.

This is Olive. She doesn't live here (she lives two doors down) but likes to spend the day with us. She has taken over.

Oh, and we got our first EV! A lovely cute little Fiat 500e. Here's me in smug mode.
