The only good thing about that story was that it ended up with them getting their asses kicked by a bunch of biker bears. Apparently flying an A-6 didn't prepare them for mixing it up quite as well as SEAL training.

I heard a super disturbing story back in the 90's from a friend of a friend who was a naval aviator. He and his buddies hung out with some SEALS who bragged to them about their gay bashing exploits in San Diego bars. Inspired, the pilots went out the next weekend and tried it themselves...

They still have no answer for judges and juries who won't play ball. And this would make the Comey case look ironclad by comparison. The one exception is veterans like Kelly. Military courts would be much easier to game.

One unwritten tenet of realist political thought is that idealism and internal codes of ethics/honor are effectively forms of mental illness and that people motivated by them are as unpredictable and dangerous to work with as borderline personalities or addicts.
