Holding off on a verdict until I see the end credits (twice), but I’ve been enjoying Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake. It’s so wildly transformative that you could call it a new game, but its story-driven focus on keeping hope alive is just what we need now. More to come on this soon. #blutoid

Thank you EGM and Seanbaby for goading teenage Tim into playing this.
I'll be honest, it's not the WORST thing I've ever seen. Lunar: Dragon Song single-handedly ensured I'd never buy a game without reading reviews again, and that's coming from the man who beat the Diabetes platformer.

I just checked, and would you believe that I still have a copy of my fetish blog
It's not nearly funny enough to repost (the jokes were more embarrassing than any revealing truths would have been), but I can safely say I am proud of this one paragraph. #blutoid

We never realized how good we had it when the Cblog tab was filled with everyone ranking their fetishes.

Doing some prep work ahead of Dragon Quest I+II HD this month, and man, Dragon Quest 1 remakes are such satisfying bite-sized games. Can’t think of many RPGs that I can play for an hour and go “You know, I’m already this far in, I might as well finish it.”

It's been fun to make my first *real* start with Trails by playing Trails In The Sky FC on Nightmare. Every battle is like a game of chess where I'm not sure what all the rules are, and getting a new stick that gives +10 attack feels like I just won the lottery. #blutoid

Everyone talks about all the minigames in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth but no one told me they straight up put Earthbound in the game. #blutoid

"Oh man I need to catch up on Dandadan, I loved this goofy little anime about a boy looking for his balls."

Every so often I remember what it was like to wake up every morning and do nothing but play this banger of a game and write about it.

First impressions of The Adventures of Elliot
1: True to Team Asano’s whole vibe, this plays like a SNES game.
2: I think it’s pretty fun. Huge comfort food vibes.
3: Dialogue like this makes me think it’s well aware of how silly it is.

That said, I wouldn't mind a gacha-less port of Champions of the Continent because it's actually really good (at least it was when I played it in 2022). You haven't lived until you've experienced what it's like to absolutely hate this dude with every fiber of your being.

Andrea trying to enjoy a friendly cooperative MMORPG when .0056% of the content is competitive.
(This is very stupid but it was easier to make this than live with the image in my head)

Man some of these puzzles in Pokemon Friends get really tough.

All jokes aside, yeah it definitely wasn't intentional. I've been playing the game on the Switch 2, and the route this occurred on has been pretty nasty with crashes (though it's thankfully playable).
The game did autosave the crash and worked fine when I loaded it though, which was kind of funny.

So in the middle of a run of Slay The Princess (which is phenomenal), this screen popped up right after a line about *something* wanting to be set free. I went “oh man this is getting REALLY meta!” Then it turned out this was an actual crash. Still wondering if it was intentional or not. #blutoid

It looks like the hottest thing in hardware this month (May 1997) is the Force FX Joystick. A steal at $249.95 for this revolutionary force-feedback technology!

To answer your follow-up question, it did come with the demo disc.
