There are a few large windows at the front of my house and I've had several bird strikes. I don't want to harm my little feathered neighbours so I'm trying these decals: they stick on your window and reflect UV light, so while we can barely see them they're quite visible to most birds.

Really glad I put this film on the sunny side of the house, I get these wonderful coloured patterns moving around all the time.

The tribute to The Last Waltz by The Band & friends last night at the Marquee was fantastic. So much skill, so many guests from the Halifax music scene, so much joy, so much love for the songs and original performance. We didn't get all the songs but we got a great sampling of the original concert.

This is an actual tweet I just screenshotted from the US Department of Homeland Security account. It's shocking how official American government channels are being used for scapegoating, fear mongering, and othering. I don't think I've ever seen propaganda this hateful from a western government.

My front porch had old, nasty carpet: I'm not sure why anyone would use that in this part of Canada with so much slush and salt on our boots in winter. So I ripped it up and replaced it with interlocked vinyl flooring.

My 11yo convinced me to try this breakfast sandwich he came up with: pizza pepperoni between two warmed (but not toasted) Eggo frozen waffles. He may deserve punishment.

It's been a while since I bought a new record, but here's an unusual and epic breakfast #vinyl to change that: a Japanese import of the soundtrack to the classic Studio Ghibli film, "Princess Mononoke".

My house has several multi-light windows. My sister-in-law made the clever suggestion of putting some decorative film in the small panes to jazz them up. So voila!
