There’s a nice analogy of the UK; 2 ships roped side by side, 1 slightly bigger but with a much larger crew, the other has more sails. The small ship has wind in its sails but has to go where the big ship goes. The ropes binding the ships together are creaking as the turbulent winds are picking up.
