…and a little baseball
I am not Nate Silver, but I make fun of him.
The thing is that the current trade market is built around a carefully planned and organized supply chain that took decades to assemble. From factories to shipping, even in a best case scenario, it would take at least 10 years to create a fully domestic supply chain, as Trump dreams it.

When Elon Musk says he feels Democrats are an existential threat to the country and humanity, what he is actually feeling is that Democrats are an existential threat to his companies and thus fortune.

It would be politically insane for any Democrat in the future to work with SpaceX or Tesla.

He knows this.

Thus the only viable path forward at this juncture is to ensure that Democrats never win elections again, by whatever means necessary.

Pretty sure all these companies keep all the data you tell them to delete.

The “delete all my data” button is like the “close door” button in an elevator: It’s there as a placebo.

These people are like far right Fox News hosts. One is forced out and another worse one takes their place.

Given how Musk has aligned himself with a faction that is actively hostile towards Canada, it more than makes sense for them to pursue EVs with Tesla’s only credible competitor.

This is a big self own.

I’d argue it also adds a different kind of artistry and strategy.

This is the party the Democrats should become.

Correction: Great Recession, not Depression. 🫣

The Tea Party saw the gradual purge replacement of establishment GOP congress members (Reaganites) with the overtly racist and generally wackjob MAGA conservatives that are in Congress today.

Today we are beginning to see calls to purge of neoliberal Dems (Clintonites) that will reshape the party.

Well… survey conducted around the Statue of Liberty’s 100th anniversary in 1986 found that only about 2% of Americans knew the statue was of French origin.

Likely even lower today given the decline of education quality across the US.

Sadly, majority of the voting population has an ability to ignore things like mass school shootings.

I don’t have much hope stories like these would sway voters.
