…and a little baseball
I am not Nate Silver, but I make fun of him.
It sure looks like the tempo of the modern economy is about to reach a significant downturn.

In 2023, the US was the only economy in the world to achieve a soft landing and avoid a recession. Economic downturns are part of the ebb and flow of capitalism, but countries can mitigate them if prepared.

The daily lives of most Americans revolve around having a boss and doing exactly what the are told to do. The whole corporate hierarchy is built on authority and unilateralism.

No surprise that many Americans are comfortable with authoritarians in government. It's how life is in the private sector.

There is a strong chance Trump’s numbers remain like this for the next four years.

US satisfaction might actually go below 30% if the economy continues suffering from inflation woes.

Possible modest spike around the LA Olympics 2028, but not much given that he will probably politicize the event.

The majority of the country opposes Trump's tariffs against Mexico and Canada.

MAGAs strongly support the tariffs, even if it results in higher prices; evidence of his voters being cult-like, going along with anything he says.

Imagine how they would feel if it had been Harris imposing the tariffs?

The Supreme Court approval rating remains underwater by 5 points.

It saw a brief moment of positive net positive approval in 2023, but has otherwise been in the negative ever since overturning Roe v Wade.

Currently, all three branches of government have negative approval ratings.

Even the pathetic little Marco Rubio realized the shameful spectacle before him, and like the coward he is, he could not bare himself to even look.

But his eyes said it all.

History will remember you literally stood still as the world your our forefather built for you burned to the ground.

A few years ago Musk berated ULA's Tory Bruno for using insiders and lobbyists to secure government contracts, arguing that it was anti-competitive against SpaceX.

Ever a hypocrite, now Musk, from within the government itself, is canceling gov contracts and handing them over to Tesla and SpaceX.

After yielding all their power to Trump, the GOP Congress finally has time to delve into the important stuff, the JFK assassination.

After this, they’re digging through old Ancient Aliens episodes to uncover the truth about the Mayan Astronaut and who really built the Pyramids of Giza.

As bad as things have gotten in the past month, it’ll get x10 worse over the next few years, not only in Washington but in the rest of the country.

Why is happening now will begin affecting most Americans in profound ways by year’s end.

This is fucking madness.

Remember, 2 years ago, when the entire world laughed at Lavrov when he said Ukraine started the war against Russia?

Nikki Haley is one of the most opportunistic human beings in the planet. Maybe second only to JD Vance.

JD knew Trump had broken up with him. This is the moment though that shattered his heart: seeing him with his replacement.

Support for #Ukraine in the US remains generally strong, though the constant Russian bleaching by Trump continues to take its toll.

53% of Americans support continued aid, with 22% saying we should do more.

It appears most of the anti-Ukraine crowd are fueled by cynicism or are just trolling.

Reagan did run on a MAGA message. He literally MAGA from the oval office.

I do agree that the charlatan-ery at display would’ve made him cringe, for he fashioned himself as a decent man.

Now he gets to watch it all from a front row seat, for Trump hung his presidential portrait in the oval office.
