Councillor James Pasternak says providing visitor parking is an important part of dealing with "chronic loneliness." Councillors Cheng and Holyday also brought up parking as a way to make people feel less lonely.

The staff at both Jackson and the library do great work in my experience. They demonstrate empathy but are firm and direct when necessary. What they are asked to do however is unsustainable and should not be asked of them. Library workers and mall security guards cannot be social workers or police

It is easy to hand wave these incidents as just normal internet behavior. But this guy makes no real effort to hide his identity and has death threats written on his own porch. They're threats until they aren't. This individual, and others like him, should be taken seriously.
Some of it is craftily subtle. Some of it is right out in the open, for all to see. In fact, this month, a delegate came forward to Council and identified himself as a well known local Instagram user under the handle intervention_intersection_. His name, as he told Council, is Dan Myles.
