This Fall I've been reading the fiction of George MacDonald (1824-1905), who was a great influence on C.S. Lewis. Several times in his novels, he says that the question ‘Does God exist?’ is far less important than the question ‘What sort of God would be worth believing in?’

I really warm to that.

24 hours after PM Carney persuaded Elizabeth May to vote for his budget by promising her that Canada will keep its Paris Agreement commitments on climate change. Liberals speaking out of both sides of their mouth on the environment? Imagine my surprise.

William Russell would have been 101 today. He played Ian Chesterton in the very first incarnation of Doctor Who, starting in November 1963.

Sometimes Jesus is very confusing. Doesn't the first part of his answer contradict the second part?

Green Party Leader Elizabeth May will vote yes on the 2025 federal budget after securing a public commitment from the Prime Minister to meet Canada's legally binding Paris agreement targets. We made the government promise, now we make them deliver. 🟢 #GreenParty

Marci and I watched 'The Woman in Cabin 10' on Netflix last night, and my main observation is that the writer is wildly optimistic about how long people can stay alive when they go for a swim in Arctic waters.
