Yup.
It's like the smartest boy in my eleventh grade English class has taken over the city.
Though it probably should've been the smartest girl, this is the USA.

The only Jamie Dimon tape I want to see is him walking into prison.

I’m still not over “gift” becoming a verb. I was not consulted.

Agreed.
Also, if you’re not reading “Unabridged” by Stefan Fatsis, you’re missing out on a whole bunch of lame or merely silly internet-related 1990-isms.

Do you follow @kedseconomist.com or Optimist Economy? She has a terrific series of short YTs & a sort-of unified theory of economics (she might not see it this way) showing that (nearly) all roads lead to US wage suppression. Here's one from a recent funny, informed series. youtu.be/M8Xd2HsZIpk?...

And while I'm at it, this Wengrow essay about what we call civilization, speaks to liberal ideals of the Three Freedoms, i.e. to move, to organize our own social structures, and to disobey orders.

Riding three horses in a day makes for an excellent day.

Seven is too many; one is not enough. She’s right in the sweet spot.
Good on her. 🏇🏼

Tall, 5'11", rider in her late 50s who has ridden since childhood, came off her giant warmblood twice in the last four years. First broke a femur, then her pelvis.

She's still with us, so that's awesome. Her horse doesn't seem fractious; he is huge, though, 17 hh easy.

Seems like simple bad luck.

Whereas in motorcycling, the math is against you. Yes?
The longer you're on a motorcycle up against cars and roads, the worse your odds.

I ride nearly every day and my sister is a motorcyclist (also horsey), so these numbers are personal to us.

That's my experience.
Horse girl fatalities, in my N=1 decades of experience, tend to be fluky, i.e. X-C courses gone bad plus bad horse-ability/luck, or barrel racers going too fast in a terrible arena with no helmet.
Stats somewhere show that the longer the time we avoid a fall, the better.

$75M to "the United States"?
Pardon me.
What is that for?
