Are they saying they don't want refugees to integrate? Are they saying that they don't want them to put down roots, to fall in love, to settle into permanent jobs, pay their taxes, gain qualifications? Are they saying they want them to be permanent outsiders, always second class citizens? It's nasty

I am outraged that our government should even think of doing this. My son has lived in Spain for 7 years and has residency. His girlfriend is Colombian, but now also has a Spanish passport. They believe they only have a future in Spain or Colombia because the UK is so toxic and unwelcoming. 💔

I remember being able to fall into the pub after school and spend most of the evening there, on my pocket money. At uni, half a pint at the union bar was 6p. People used to go every day. Nowadays a round for the family will cost about £50. Who can afford regular nights at a pub?
