Baseball and Transformers Nerd just surviving the twitpocalypse
As a lifetime resident of the DMV it truly makes me sad to see the state of our once great local paper. The fact my grandfather was a regional distributor back in the day only twists the knife further. We have so much vintage Post merch in the family.
The layoffs at the Washington Post have begun, with newsroom leaders telling employees its sports and books sections will be 'eliminated in current forms' and its international coverage will be downsized

Solid water is going to need a branding change at this rate.

I think it’s time to finally pull the plug entirely on my old account.
X is a fascist deepfake porn platform, thus anyone engaging with X is legitimizing & monetizing fascist deepfake porn.
Grok has put a bikini on one of the dead victims of the recent Swiss fire !

It's probably the most appalling thing I've seen... 🤬

Old tweet relevant again with the MPG Hot Rod news:

Transformers #hottake, the MP-28/40 Hot Rod mold is good, and actually more fun to transform than the studio series release. Gotta respect the ambition of using the real car hood and integrating a matrix holder.

Pretty wild that I just stayed at a Sonder in Chicago last month. Glad to have missed the catastrophe closure by just this much.

Tim Kaine needs to be primaried in 2028 for this vote

Genuinely, what is the point of even doing a mobile order or a drive-thru if 90% of the time you’re stuck pulling into a ‘drive-thru’ parking space.

Whatever little hope I had for the next Mass Effect game has pretty much been extinguished.
It’s official: EA is going private.

The leveraged buyout will be financed by a staggering $20 billion of debt, which likely means some *aggressive* cost cutting is ahead for EA in the coming months and years.

You know it’s probably for the best there’s no tiebreaker games anymore. If the Mets can’t beat the Marlins when their season is on the line, then they don’t really deserve a play-in game.

Well after 7 years, I no longer have the blemish of never having beat the radiance in Hollow Knight. It was a fun run overall, after coming off Silksong.
September 24, 2025 at 8:27 PM
I know a lot of people replayed Hollow Knight right before Silksong’s launch. I’m almost done doing the reverse and it’s an interesting contrast to be back with the Knight.

Between voting early, and beating Silksong Act 3; I’m feeling pretty accomplished today.

Extremely happy that the latest Dandadan chapter didn’t end at pg. 11 as a really mean tease.

I was so relieved when I didn’t have to fight the summoned beast on Mount Fay
September 8, 2025 at 3:19 PM
I think my single biggest gripe with Silksong is what feels like an over reliance on enemy rush challenge rooms especially in act 2. Some of the bosses have been hard and the constant two mask damage isn’t my favorite, but it’s the sheer amount of challenge rooms that’s getting to me.

Is Silksong one of the first games that hit release with its esrb rating still pending? It’s quite surprising to see that on the eshop page
September 4, 2025 at 2:25 PM
It was more of a struggle than expected, but now I have Silksong downloading on my switch

Why was UFO50 in the sizzle reel portion of the Indie presentation?! Regardless I’m hyped, since I’ve been eyeing it from afar.

Don't talk about this very obvious and real thing that directly affects the hobby in a meaningful way on a toy hobby messageboard
TFW2005 just explicitly banned talking about tariffs at all, anywhere on the forum, because the mods are mad that political discussions are upsetting the very trumpy userbase.

Pretty wild that this vintage Super Ginrai I acquired is way less scary to handle than my 2003 reissue. The vintage blue is much prettier too. I’m still using a few pieces from the reissue set, but at this point my entire God Ginrai is about 85% vintage parts

Been mixing up the shelves a bit coming into the new year. Gotta rotate the bots some.

Had to say good bye to one of the family dogs last night. Lark, you may not have been the most obedient dog, but you were a good girl. 15 years and 4 months is a pretty good run for a standard poodle. We’ll miss you little gray lady. She is survived by her litter mate, the tiny terror Roxie.
