The liberal party winning with a Obama-esque patriottic campaign with little substance, and the left/green party not winning by focusing on kitchen-table issues are both things that I did not have a good explanation for.

This was such an interesting conversation. The idea that identity shapes politics was used as one of a few explainers of the outcome of the last Dutch election, but this has made me realize how much of it is really explained by it.

European political scientists are blue in the face from constantly pointing out that accommodating the far right does not help centre-left parties win, and contributes to the rise of far-right parties. There's a mountain of data to support that.

Hesselink wordt vast Minister voor Integratie en Remigratie. De centrumrechtse coalitie is inmiddels vijf keer gevallen na de vele afsplitsingen van JA21. Dilan is hoopt vooral op stabiliteit zodat ze die mooie plannen waar gewone mensen zo naar snakken eens echt uit kunnen voeren.

It is really disappointing that you weakened your goals on so many fronts. Why use compensation to divert investments abroad? Why postpone ETS2? Why prolong dependence on expensive and risky fossil fuels?

Laat de VVD ook maar uitspreken wat dan de breekpunten bij GLPvdA voor ze zijn. Als ze niet in algemeenheden praten wordt het moeilijk om de blokkade vol te houden denk ik.
