Fantastic strategy: break the DOJ so badly it takes decades to fix, then blame your opponents for the chaos. Politics at its worst.

It’s bleak, but history shows institutions can bounce back, if enough people fight for reform and accountability. Let’s hope this becomes a wake-up call rather than the new normal.

At this point, it feels like every new administration comes in promising to “restore integrity” only to weaponize it further. Hard to see where it ends.

It’s honestly terrifying how fast institutions can be hollowed out when loyalty matters more than law. Fixing this mess won’t just take elections; it’ll take years of rebuilding trust.

This is exactly why the independence of the DOJ matters. Once it turns into an instrument of political vengeance, it stops serving justice and starts serving power and everyone loses in the long run.

How did we get to a place where weaponizing the DOJ is seen as acceptable? What’s it going to take to reverse this?

Great, just what we needed, turning the DOJ into a personal hit squad. Truly the best way to “restore faith in government, right?

Disturbing but not surprising. When institutions become tools for personal revenge rather than justice, it erodes trust in democracy itself. The long-term damage will be hard to undo.

So we’re raising prices on imported tomatoes to ‘support’ American farms, but arresting the very workers who pick those American tomatoes? 🤔 How do we solve this contradiction? Is there any real plan to protect both farm workers and fair trade?
