Doing research into adoption of non-Hawaiian astrology in Hawaii and I found this interesting article. Does anyone know traditions that associate cities or countries with specific signs or planets? This one talks about Leo and the places it protects, I’ll add translation in the comments.

Started doing some nitty gritty research on Hawaii’s astrology. It’s been a whirlwind so far! Learning that mars retrogrades and malefic hard aspects are incredibly relevant! It’s also given me a chance to see my rectified time in action with transits. (1:40pm 11/28/1843 London UK)

I’ve thought of doing something like this more consistently but holy hell the work that went into it was insane.
Making a zodiac column in Hawaiian as one of the last ones of my Bachelors program. I’m fusing Hawaiian moon phases with Hellenistic studies.
Fun fact: Uranus is Herschel (a transliteration: Herekela) in Hawaiian which gives us a really interesting language artifact.
