I should also say that in my experience a lot of Dutch people are chuffed when you tell them you're trying to learn the language.

That honestly really sucks... I've been helping US friends out with learning Dutch whenever I can. A lot of foreigners think it's pointless to learn the language, but the way I see it it can be a lot of fun for English speakers to learn a closely related language to theirs.

I think generally speaking Microsoft should have emphasized how much steeper the system requirements were for Vista, because all that "aero" stuff really didn't perform well on systems without at least a dual core and 1 gig of RAM.

It also worked fine for me. If you applied all the service packs it was basically just as stable as 7.

My theory is that 7 was just a rebranded version of Vista to get out of all the negative press surrounding Vista. They're nearly identical in every single way, lol.
