Also growing up undiagnosed AuDHD I understand *now* why I was, and sometimes AM, the weird extra friend that only got called when no one else was around 🙃 still sucks though
Like I never, *ever* had like this big group of friends that everyone else had, or has, and the friends I did make were always so non-communicative and I feel like I had to do all the work, and I was never really invited to gatherings with their other friends. Always been that weird, “extra” friend

Playing Zelda OOT and it’s still so mind blowing that this game is almost 30 years old, and yet games today, now, are *still* so hugely influenced by it. Legitimately the most important game ever made (as were most Zeldas before and after this one).

In other words it’s ridiculously great and one of my favorites I’ve read this year.
This is exactly what I’ve been telling my friends; AI simply isn’t catching on (thankfully!). The only people who insist it’s “the future” or it’s “here to stay” are people who have heavily and stupidly invested in it.

I thoroughly reject that generative AI is something we are going to have to accept, it's simply not going to be true even in the wildest dreams of AI evangelists, and we have plenty of examples of games where AI generated elements were removed, so we know for a fact it can be done successfully.

One of the reasons I've never bought into AI doomerism, is that to believe "it's here to stay, get used to it!" you have to buy into the idea that AI generated elements are so hardcoded or integral as to be permanent, when they really aren't.
You can simply remove it, and it's gone just like that.
