#paperalert My group is currently working on Eurasian minnows #Phoxinus. To make comparative genomics & popgen in this highly cryptic genus easier, we published an annotated chromosome-level reference genome. Thanks to @thetemi.bsky.social, Yanis, @astridboehne.bsky.social

A chromosome-level, haplotype-resolved genome assembly and annotation for the Eurasian minnow (Leuciscidae: Phoxinus phoxinus) provide evidence of haplotype diversity
AbstractBackground. In this study, we present an in-depth analysis of the Eurasian minnow (Phoxinus phoxinus) genome, highlighting its genetic diversity, s

As a bioinformatician, the time invested into learning snakemake or nextflow is absolutely worth it in the long run, it might drive you crazy at first but hey, you'll have zero regrets down the line
