Like, I understand having a sorta goofy (He ain't THAT bad) guy following Samus around, talking to her, isn't the best feature for a Prime game. But the previews spoke like it was hours of babysitting him. He stops being with you VERY quickly and he ain't exactly THAT annoying, either. GOOD LORD.

Metroid Dread didn't exactly reshape the wheel, so much as refine and modernise it, but then there hadn't been a 'new' (We got two remakes, mind) 2D Metroid in nearly 20 years by then. Sometimes it's nice just to get a new one, as long as it's done well enough.
