I'd just really like to get to a place where older men leveraging various power to gain sexual access to young women they know would never be with them otherwise get treated for what it is instead of reversing power to erase them, or worse treat them as victims.

Squall's got this vibe where I remember the cultural conversation was that he's whiny and annoying and imo he's got that Holden Caulfield thing where if ur roughly of an age with him u either identify with him or find him the pits but if ur an adult ur seeing a kid who's really out of his depth

US uses “go to the doctor”, and reserve “go to the hospital” to convey a sense of urgency. Is that the same in the UK?

We also “go to school” and “go to work”, but only to refer to habitual, repeated actions. I think if someone was just visiting a school or prison, they’d say “I want to the school/prison today”

If I’m understanding the schema correctly, DA:Veilguard is not a roadtrip game, but Pokémon Scarlet/Violet may be three road trip games in a trench coat.

And like, make no mistake, this whole thing smacks of gender. A lot of it's about eschewing care work and feminine signifiers and anything that registers as 'weak' to a ludicrious masculine ideal.
