I’ve only been watching on DESI so not thoroughly examining - but… ugh.

Great stuff!

If Bellinger comes back, which player will get traded - Jasson or Spencer?
December 8, 2025 at 2:18 PM
I’m not sure if Sec Duffy will allow that.

Are you wearing sweatpants or a 3-piece suit?

Good stuff! Dr Mileti has source and threat before action, but as long as they are all somewhere near the top I figure that's probably fine.

I think all of these examples are better than what the NWS uses today...

Gotcha - to clarify, I didn't prep this with any of the Sutton / Mileti / etc work. If I uploaded their guidance I'm sure theoutcome would be different.

But we do know that meteorologists (the overarching "we") are not good at communicating. Look to the current NWS /winter debacle.

AI will help.

I don't think so - you'd want people to know if they are taking cover from a flash flood or a tornado or a nuclear attack before having them actually do it given the differences.

V3 is far and away the most accurate.

What’s wrong with this version of a tornado warning?
December 2, 2025 at 8:09 PM
Why would there be another camp?

Even outside of the forecasting (which, granted, still needs some love) the ability to improve communications by not using phrases written in the 1970s (originally ALL CAPS) is a win.

Well it was enough for the NWS to issue a special alert so…

No video, just the audio feed.
November 28, 2025 at 12:39 PM
It used to be split audio until the Russian leak issue a few years ago. Now they only have SG1 during launches / dockings / etc.

I don’t see audio listed for channel 9 on your site. Am I looking in the wrong area?
November 28, 2025 at 5:37 AM
The ISS Livestream. It carries audio but only from one channel. I was just curious if you knew offhand whether it is SG2 or 3. I can compare from my archives later.

I’m referring to the live feed that I archive. Audio is only in English so can’t be 1 and when they go to 4 we don’t hear. So is that 2? I guess I don’t know difference between 2 and 3.
November 28, 2025 at 4:27 AM
I mean the YouTube channel.
November 28, 2025 at 4:02 AM
Great stuff! What SG-channel(s) are on the public feed?
November 28, 2025 at 2:52 AM
Remember the NWS snow page is not fully functional. It uses NBM through WPC, and the NBM is not a good snow total platform as it overdoes WAA events like this.

Local WFOs cannot edit that page.

Sandy's waves on Lake Michigan were around 20-25ft. It's pretty hard to get much higher than that.

The 39ft was a typo in the marine forecast. It was never realistically expected (nor physically possible.)
November 28, 2025 at 2:49 AM
WSSI is broken this year. It wasn’t good in the past, but now WPC really messed it up.
November 27, 2025 at 2:49 PM
And AI is able to detect scams and intercept them before they cause harm.

That makes me happy.
November 27, 2025 at 12:41 PM
Oh goodness no, this is FAR greater a revolution than the move from pencils to pens.
November 27, 2025 at 1:57 AM
No, AI weather forecasting actually saves lives. No forecast ever caused someone to commit suicide.

Are you okay? PLEASE call 899 if you are thinking of harming yourself.
