Hi. I'm Ted. I'm a union worker. I take pictures, look at maps, watch baseball/football, and drive places. I have red hair. I'm from West Virginia and live in greater Pittsburgh. IWW (WV GMB, IU 651).

Hi team! Amongst other things (like labor organizing and Pirates baseball), I like to take pictures. Here's one I took recently in The Eastern, OH. (Yes, that's a placename for a little spot south of Bergholz, OH.)
As much as Miami has not been able to score, so far, they definitely look like the better team to this point. (Or, at least, they've been driving every time I've paid attention. I don't know that I've seen Texas A&M with the ball yet.)

It does not make sense to me that companies/services/online entities set up their services such that users can't change their email addresses. I just learned that Angi(e's List) does this.

Interesting that multiple AI companies don't use AI-generated "music" in their commercials, instead opting for music composed/written/performed by humans. Huh.

I'm hearing that they are saying this.
'Magic balls' installed by drones could conquer US market thanks to game-changing performance: 'It's never been like this'

Oh! Oklahoma has found a way to make Seven Nation Army even more annoying! u!

OK, at least this game has become a little competitive.

If a ref is going to refer to a side in a penalty call as a "kicking team" or "receiving team", that should only happen after the ball is kicked. Otherwise, it's still offense/defense, even if the offense is getting ready to kick. Until they have kicked, they have the option to get the first down.

What a deeply boring football game. It looks like a scrimmage with these two teams wearing the same colors. Plus we get treated to all this SEC propaganda and ESPN fawning all over the conference. Add to that I just don't like Oklahoma (and their repetitive fight song), so I'm pulling for Alabama?

Acrobat has gotten decidedly worse (functionally, operationally, and in terms of UX) in recent years. Nothing of benefit has been added to it in likely a decade, and it's now markedly slower. Frankly, I think it peaked at OCR being added to it. It's been downhill since.

It just dawned on me that Miami fired Manny Diaz to make room for Mario Christobal and Diaz is going to make an ACC Conference Title Game before Christobal

Simply wonderful!
Duke took the Dan Campbell "we dont go they dont go" attitude and applied it to the entire Atlantic Coast Conference, which has 17 teams and 0 playoff teams

Hahahaha. I'm just so happy for the ACC. What a great football conference. So strong. Hahahaha.

There are so many people living lives of quiet dignity despite horrific medical news or poverty or tragedy where every day they still wake up and try to be good people in the world even as the world pushes against them and it makes me even angrier at the absolute shitheads that rule over things

Oh my goodness. This Steelers/Bills tilt went to commercial, came back to report Patrick Queen went into the blue tent, ran no plays, went back to commercial for the 2 minute warning, and then came back, ran one play, and then went to commercial AGAIN. Yoi.

Two separate times this weekend, football games have gone to break, come back and run no plays, and gone back to commercials. The pros have been bad about that for a while. But one of those was a college game yesterday.

The number of grown people whose careers involve professional written communication fully admitting to "cleaning up" their written work with AI is embarrassing. Are you not qualified and talented enough to revise and polish your own drafts? Adults, too. These aren't high schoolers cutting corners.
