Linking to this, the rest of the world doesn't listen to Europe as much as other regional powers have emerged.

The US - particularly early on as a power - benefitted from European soft power blessing what were mostly unilateral US decisions so they appeared to be multi-lateral agreements.

I meant to say - that fever dream sensation is the entertaining aspect of it. It's so ludicrously over the top.

There is a bit of a "what the fuck were they thinking??? Is this a fever dream???" sensation when I watch it but it's the only one that has moments so stupid I want to yell at the TV

I think I'd shunt Rise of Skywalker down a fair bit but otherwise I agree with this

Musk was bragging about how Grok can roast people recently, I wondered if he's using that

He'd intended Skunkworks to be a band, but it didn't pan out.

Most of his solo albums were recorded with Band of Gypsies as the backing band so they did already have a name of their own.

Kiss released it on DVD as part of one of their Kissology box sets, so I've seen it.

Peter Criss was such a mess they had to get someone else to redo all his dialogue, which is very obvious.

This has clearly been in the works foe a while given she's had time to finish her solo album and film promo videos for it.

Whatever happened it happened before the recent tour.

A better watch than the new film.

How much do you actually encounter them? I find the era of streaming means I always listen to music of my choosing. My family are a bit crap at making much of Xmas day itself. All in all, I'm barely exposed to it.

My friend who works in retail on the other hand...she definitely gets it a lot.

But you are right that at this point they probably do need to remind people where they stand, given the response to their recent policies has largely been condemnation on the left and praise on the right.

It definitely reminds people what's bad about Reform but I feel it's a story better told by voices other than Labour themselves, because it comes across a bit desperate from them. It also frustrates voters they've lost to the Greens/LDs whenever they reach for the "it's us or Reform" angle.

If Polanski says he intends to stand there, it's basically guaranteed that he will.

Telling the story is fine but Labour plastering this all over their social media and making sure all the press have quotes about it is wasted time.

The only folk who'll read this article are people on Bluesky with names like "Reform Exposed" who spend all day talking about him anyway.

The only risk there is if you put individual taxes/levis on things people like they may resent their remaining taxes more than before, I suppose

But yes the US is definitely less essential than it was.
November 22, 2025 at 1:25 PM
A lot of European support comes in the form of buying stuff from the US. Trump threatening to withhold that would be a major issue, particularly for the Russia-bordering countries who are quite reluctant to dip into the stockpiles they save for their own defence.
