Flaky (pie crusts only) and sturdy (in pie crusts and in life)
And these mini peanut butter and jelly pies, which I’m not wild about because I’m meh on peanut butter but might fit the bill In terms of texture. There’s also a black and white cookie version of these mini pies though have more of a cream/custard like filling.

There’s also this pie made with fresh watermelon juice that has more of a jello/jelly texture.

How do we feel about frangipane, texture wise?

This indeed will be a challenge but I’m not going to give up on my hope that there is a pie for everyone out there.

Challenge accepted. How do you feel about custard or cream pies?

😳

It looks like butter noodles. Or someone stopped at the “make a bechemel” step of the recipe. 😬

Is that photo supposed to be…Mac and…cheese?!?!?

Could have covered 1-2 ACPS executives holding down a second full time job and/or bungling data and/or comms!

I’m authentic.

I thought it was on a loop.

Then they should make it a 5 miler with a 5k option.
November 23, 2025 at 12:29 AM
No one needs to run 5 miles on Thanksgiving morning especially those of us who will be on our feet Wednesday and Thursday making pies. My vote in the next election to whoever will pressure Del Ray to change it to a 5k.

You could ask for an explanation of how, despite 5 months lead time, ACPS screwed up its data so many parents got notifications that gave them the wrong information about what school they’re zoned for next year. They have not publicly acknowledged or apologized for their screw up, to my knowledge.

And it’s delicious.

Ah, I think being in a hurry I didn’t see the bike racks across the street. I’ll make a note for next time…though if it’s that popular with cyclists, I’ll put in a friendly suggestion for a U rack or two out front of the coffee shop itself. I saw other bikes locked to street signs, so I did too.

Sincere question - where do the cyclists park their bikes at swings? I stopped there yesterday to take a work call on my way back from a meeting downtown and there were no bike racks.

Yes, I recoded mixtapes (from the radio) on cassette through high school , then burning CDs after college. I had CDs at some point in hs, but didn’t have a burner until mid or late 20s I think?

Let’s get FTD on the bike bus, uh, train!

I’m teaching the kid how to make pollo sudado tomorrow. Please keep yourself and more importantly your waffle iron safely on your side of town, thanks.
