So working on my third novel is reinforcing that I love outlining when I'm done with it and my trajectory is clear, but that I absolutely hate being stuck trying to untangle the mess that is my brain and wrestle it into coherent thoughts on the page.

Can't wait to get drafting.

This week is a revision week. I hate this chapter. But I also love this chapter. Third draft really feels like pulling teeth sometimes - my manuscript existing in a state flowing between trash and potential. The bones are good, the writer is learning.

I love the stage of outlining where story, world, and characters all seem to converge perfectly; and your test scenes are naturally evolving into real chapters.

Excited about this one!

FFX is great too so far. I feel this one will rank high once I'm through.

Sad to have missed out on this franchise for so long, but what an incredible journey when you got to knock them out back-to-back like this with no idea what's ahead

Final Fantasy IX is on its way to becoming my favorite so far, but if it can knock IV off its throne remains to be seen. Really enjoying the series playthrough overall.

Nothing quite as fun as having your car break down on your way to a second round job interview 🙃

After 7 months of job hunting, I finally landed an interview. I think it went well, I think I'd love the job.

Fingers crossed!

Revising in Scrivener is a dream compared to Word.
And I might enjoy revision more drafting?
Never would've guessed.

LinkedIn is the fucking worst - hate trying to maintain it to "keep up appearances" while job searching

Nioh 3 being open world feels so wrong to me. The exploration levels and everything just seem very forced.

I quite liked the mission select style of 1 and 2. There are more than enough open world "clear the enemy base" games, and Nioh 1/2 felt very unique in an old school cool kind of way.

You might say I've been getting my money's worth.

(Picked both up on Epic when they were free)

All my vods that were salvageable are uploaded to YouTube. That took entirely too much work.
March 4, 2025 at 8:19 PM
Past vods are slowly and steadily getting moved to YouTube. Will try to get as much moved as I can, but what a pain.

Trying to move about 2,000 hours worth of broadcasts is going to take a while I guess.

Can only imagine what it's like for folks with more.
February 24, 2025 at 10:33 AM
Already sick of the process of downloading vods for reupload to YouTube. I only have so much storage space to work around, and over 350 videos to go through. Also love that the first batch uploaded in the wrong order - because some processed faster.

Need to figure out how to get around that...

Started playing through the main line Final Fantasy games in December, and now I'm about halfway through FF7.

Honestly so upset I didn't play these sooner, and there's been something to love about all of them.

(Pixel Remasters might have had something to do with that, but I stand by it)

Royal Rumble was great - maintain that it is my favorite show WWE puts on all year.

WrestleMania is cool and all, but I love that countdown.

Already getting excited for Elimination Chamber

I'm tired, boss.

I knew this year was going to be pretty hectic for us, so I set a lower reading challenge goal than normal.

15 books read, and I'm happy with that. I read every day this year, sometimes it was for an hour, sometimes it was only 10 minutes.

Excited for what books I'll read next year.

Ciri being the Witcher IV protagonist is so fucking cool! And makes so much sense after having read the books.

And Naughty Dog's new Intergalactic game looks like it has so much potential, I'm all in.

Most disappointing might be whatever Elden Ring Nightrein is. But we'll see.

Reading is significantly down this year, but incidentally I find that my doom scrolling is significantly up.

Seems like an easy solution, but fuck if I don't gravitate towards the latter.
