Here is the full illustration! This wraps around the Feral Flame dust jackets. Incredible work by @caraid.bsky.social.

Also, how come so many people haven’t noticed the wolf in the painting?

#NossSaga #BookSky
A one-horned buffalo holds her hands forward to control a green flame shaped like a running wolf. Her brown fur is draped with long white fabrics that flow in the wind and blend into the pink mist behind her. Her horn is decorated with golden caps and rings, her nose and ears pierced. Her green eyes stare directly at the viewer. Around her are terraced hot springs and erupting geysers, creating placid pools in which five bovid figures are bathing. A white-capped volcano looms in the distance.

A muscular gray and white werewolf, Rev, crouches near a stream in a forest, looking down in wonder at his reflection. He feels his mane with a glowing paw, the other holding onto a scarf on the verge of being blown away. 3 spell scrolls whip around him, their runes still glowing - one of them depicts a simply drawn wolf with a d20 rune underneath. Faint blue magic trails off of Rev's body and from the scrolls. A gigantic green eastern dragon winds around a sunlit mountain. The dragon's horns and fur along its back integrate trees, which meld into the mountain's base. Other mountains are strewn in mist in the background. A lithe, serpentine dragon taur perches with his two front legs on one of the branches protruding from the massive tree in the background. One of his back legs dangles in the air as he holds onto a hanging branch with the other talon, his long tail looped loosely around it as well. The humanoid half of his body is a light teal compared to the rest of his dark blue body. He looks up at a hanging crystal egg, gently holding out his hands as if about to touch it. A mysterious black rabbit in a long coat with metallic trim sits on an old tree stump, playing a flute that emits a ghostly trail. He has a large collar of white fur, and limbs that seem half metal and doll-like. He sits in a misty, spooky forest, a light in the distance framing his form. There are spectral rats that heed the flute's call throughout the painting.

Same, I still know a bunch of old landline numbers because I grew up memorising them.

Not that I -really- needed to because I had a little phone booklet where I wrote down the numbers of friends and family but I liked to memorise them anyway.

The trailblazing transgender rights activist Miss Major has passed away at the age of 78.

Miss Major was a lifelong organizer and participant in the ballroom scene. She took part in the 1969 Stonewall Riots and was injured by the police — but she kept fighting.

Yeah, pretty much. Also, nobody is expecting anything of you. Literally nobody is watching your timeline to make sure you're posting every day or holding you accountable to whatever standards you've set for yourself. You're free to do as much or as little as you like really 😅

Hi, I have sent some money to your gofundme. I'm terribly sorry for the conditions you have to live in currently, I hope you will get some relief soon.

Ahh thank you! I'm glad people like her!

Look you can't just have sleep come in and reset the pissy mood you were in the night before. What are you here for if not to ensure your brain doesn't get too comfortable?

"Tales from Myriad is exquisitely done. It could easily stand alone as an art book. Even the rats in the margins have their own personalities. Well done to the creator!"

The reviews for Tales From Myriad speak for themselves, have you checked it out yet?

Going to echo the comments saying to continue to take it easy for a while (at least a week probably)! Made the mistake of trying to go back to normal once the symptoms were gone twice and it knocked me back into active recovery mode both times.

Glad you're feeling better though!

Obviously it's entirely possible that it'll be fine and there are definitely things you can do to increase the chances of success! But ultimately you can't really know for sure until you try, and I guess I just want to caution that it's possible it won't work out very well & to be prepared for that.

My parents insisted on keeping the dog even though it was clearly prey driven to chase my cat and caused him a lot of stress. Eventually he escaped and never came home.

It would be different with a puppy I'm sure, but I would keep in mind the possibility that your cat won't like it & won't adjust.

I'm going to guess you will mostly get stories from people where this worked out, as it's more difficult to share ones where it didn't because it's basically admitting you caused animal suffering.

But I've unfortunately seen it not work, twice. I lost one of my cats to a rescue dog.

I mean yes this is funny, but the fact that these unconstitutional stormtroopers are so directionless that they literally stand around waiting for random nonwhite delivery guys to bike past them is just pathetic. No mandate, no mission, no clue. Just racism.

Ah sorry for the delete - I decided Monday before coffee was not the time to weigh in on Discourse and my post needed more nuance but yeah, I'm there with you.

CA was a treasure trove of information and feedback but also a kingdom for toxic concept art dudes who were absolutely full of themselves.

Finished this one finally. Arro emerges from the brush to step into the late afternoon light, something ahead has caught his attention. Did some 3D to help with this, will post the wips next.

Yep, that's a good way to approach it.

I definitely overworked myself on it in the earlier years and found ways to make it fun by lowering expectations and not beating myself up for not keeping up with others. It should be fun and useful, not a punishment.
caraid.bsky.social
I did yes! I was around for ConceptArt's "golden age" I suppose, and it had a lot of really good stuff going on but also a lot of very toxic and destructive attitudes.
