DJ’d a Halloween party. First DJ set in a long time but so much fun. Lots of Fred Again, Barry Can’t Swim, Jamie XX and a little Italo Disco thrown in for good measure.

Wondering if a “Praise the Sun” Halloween costume would be too obscure. #darksouls

Backup plan is Sir Robin the Brave.

Madrones are some of my favorite trees, the peeling bark feels ripe for design inspiration.

Saw this beauty the other day being mobbed by crows.

Ran into my first tariff trying to order some Phidgets sensors from Canada. > $50 of tariffs and brokerage fees on $32 of parts. So pointless.

Love the prototype puzzle we just received from @nervo.us !!

Really satisfying cut pattern.

Holy moly George Saunders “Love Letter” is too apt for the moment. Describing what is sadly happening now.

Reading George Saunders liberation day and this is just the most brilliant passage.

“Company possesses superior numbers; is imbued with the confidence of wealth; is not inclined to lose, having decided long ago to cushion itself within abundance and thus keep loss at bay.”

This passage: 👌

Excited to see some of my old F.A.T Lab browser addon projects in this new show at ZKM. “Browser Art since the Beginnings of the World Wide Web”.

Wow. Thoroughly enjoyed this article. Some interesting points which I think can apply to designing for children too.
Especially liked this paragraph:

Took me way too long to do this ( though I haven’t been using that site since the takeover ).

Looking forward to getting our studio account setup here!

Was in the process of turning my whole deck gold but spent a full 5 min here trying to decide if I should sell for the Legendary or not. Ended up with Perkio which was an upgrade. But I was looking forward to getting a totally gold deck. #balatro

Wow. Sort of obsessed by this image from www.clevelandart.org/art/1924.432...

Could be the patron saint of #3dgraphics or #OpenGL 😁

This was a great run. Got the Hologram card in the first blind and managed to level it pretty high by the end. #balatro

Pretty proud of this shot. Tiny #mushrooms growing on tree branches on the #Mendocino coast.

Ha. This might be the first #openFrameworks meme.

I do catch myself not using the OF abbreviation as much anymore.

It used to be Odd Future which at least had the upside of cool tees.

Awesome #plotterart from @nick-hardeman.bsky.social beautiful hybrid approach with a watercolor overlay. #openFrameworks

Was such a honor too to meet the legendary Toshio Iwai who was giving mind blowing demos at the opening recreating and reverse engineering optics experiments from the 1800s.

So awesome to see @zachlieberman.bsky.social and @whichlight.bsky.social at the Exploritorium opening for the new Glow exhibit. Great talk by Zach and a beautiful install of Reflection Studies. Def worth a visit.

Spotted this beauty on the hills above #petaluma. I believe it’s a red shouldered #hawk.

Also came across this fallen tree where the branches started growing up like mini trees in their own right.

Did a 10 mile hike yesterday from Lake Laguintas up to the top of Mount Tam. ( Collier trail ) Stunning views of SF and the bay. The trails in the foothills of Tam are just stunning and the forest smells are something else.

Found this #computervision relic from one of our projects. Run a second pass on the binary image to create mini blobs which are used for tracking / ids so people can come together and still be tracked. Worked well! #openframeworks

Can’t recommend this book enough. Totally wild speculative fiction like #borges meets Game of Thrones. Nice quote from #GeneWolfe on the back too. Feels very much in his vein. #johnmford

Saw this guy yesterday first thought was Peregrine but on closer inspection thinking Cooper’s Hawk?
