I haven’t been back to look at the comments since soon after it went up, but I think the video is great. I’ve been seeing this for a while as well and am increasingly concerned about it.

some of these replies are really cruel and I’d really like people to sit with why their first reaction to hearing about a poisoned, precarious workforce trying to improve their lot is “lol idiots good luck”

Dang, I’m hardly on here, happy belated birthday, Bee! Since I left Twitter I haven’t reconnected with people.

Additionally, in 1-3 weeks, I would encourage people who have the means to think about continuing to give to the places you’ve shared. After the initial wave of donations in 2022, funding started to dry up quickly while we were still trying to get folks housed etc.

The Foundation for Appalachian KY is a great resource! I would strongly encourage folks to give to eKY Mutual Aid, since that money will go directly to people in need and people doing volunteer relief work. Pikeville Pride is also helping move mutual aid resources around.
