Yeah I'm not a grandma, I was very online at the time, but I didn't know or care about him much beyond tech billionaire who happened to be focused on things that I felt were worth developing. I put him in the same basket I put the rest of them where I assume they're horrible because billionaires.

America will probably never bounce back from this but a lot of issues we've put on the back-burner since before I was born have come to a head and will have to be resolved, for better or worse

It's a very small consolation to me, but while accelerationism is suicidal, we've certainly accelerated. ICE's abuses, the avarice and open eugenic bigotry, naked land grabs and disregard for basic human rights and democracy, it's all out in the open now. Can't sweep it under the rug again

It wasn't modern social media. If the anime board was taken over by nazis, the only other place to talk about anime was off of the site

If he championed anything it was probably Internet anonymity, but even he saw how the Nazis flooding the site made the normal functioning of the video game and paranormal and anime boards really annoying to keep on track because they'd derail everything with vile shit

There's an absurd amount of completely internal, fundamental issues with the country that have not been addressed. We can address Putin's influence while also addressing how the US has been predisposed to this since even before Tsarist Russia fell
