If one wanted to translate it for the bluesky audience, “imagine however you feel about pursuing art or interminable school without the expectation of ever selling a piece or your services because it’s all funded by the state and the tears of your perceived inferiors“ and just lift & set

Honestly I think there’s an element of “once you have 10k followers (or whatever) you aren’t just a person any more you are a Brand and lose the right to be a grumbly lil trashgremlin who likes to Post with the oomphies for kicks“

Given the news and reaction I think it’s safe to say that, unfortunately, this all seems likely to get dramatically worse rather than better in the immediate future
