My cat, Frank Leigh, has a new weird habit. Anytime I go to the restroom he rushes in and jumps up on the radiator so he can make intense eye contact with me. He also has taken to watching me closely when I sleep. Am I being haunted?

My trip to visit my sister was too short and went by so quickly. But I do love lazing around at La Guardia for a bit with lunch and a book before my flight.

Made a little crochet Bears flower for my local bartender. I don’t care about football, but I’ve been coming just to be around people during the games while I read or craft or get some writing done.

So I started crocheting again in July after I set the hobby down in roughly 2003. Last time I learned, resources like YouTube didn’t exist. This time I was able to execute a baby blanket for a coworker’s newborn pretty quickly.

Had a wonderful time at @richardthomas.bsky.social’s reading tonight at Bucket O’ Blood. I love meeting Chicago authors. And I love how he stamps books at his signings. Adds a cool touch to meeting him in person. I can’t wait to dig into Incarnate and his short stories.

I’m not generally a raw apple person. I love cider. I love dried and baked apples or apples cooked up with some yellow onions and potatoes into a hash. But damn, three chapters in and Black River Orchard by @chuckwendig.bsky.social is giving me a craving.
