I super agree with this and it's why I think my vid from a few years ago holds up decently well!
I'm sad that a lot of the life sim elements AC was great at is mostly lost in the NH direction of "Customize everything!".
(3.0 is a great update tho, for reasons i don't think many people realize)

Animal Crossing YouTube video thumbnails are like "the WORST thing NINTENDO EVER DID to RUIN Animal Crossing" and then the video content is like "they didn't turn the game into Minecraft/The Sims 😡"
