Someone made an early morning donut run (not me, I was in a blanket fort)
Cookie butter donut the size of a small planet with a turkey made out of a biscoff cookie and icing. I am always here for the kitsch. Pumpkin pie filled donut with a maple leaf made from pie dough. Also Pluto-sized (RIP). Six sizable fresh-made donuts. Cookie butter. Pb Oreo. Key lime (that guy who hates pie can suck it). Strawberry rhubarb. German chocolate cake. Pumpkin pie. Carbs are carbing.

Cheap thrills
Two mystery packs of reusable grocery bags from Trader Joe’s. An open-mouthed old timey young gent with a question mark above his head is on the package. I’ll open these…eventually. This gives me blind box excitement at a fraction of the price.

I’m naming the collective noun for these chairs a Verna after my grandma’s friend who had these back in the day in green.

My preorder of Patti Smith’s new memoir arrived sometime last week but I waited til today to open it bc that’s just how I am
Bread of Angels, a memoir by Patti Smith. On the cover is a photo of a younger Patti wearing a sheer white dress. Her arms are up. Her face is in profile, eyes lowered. Part of a tree is on the right. Patti Smith’s signature on the title page. Thank the maker for it not being a tip-in. Signed at McNally Jackson bookstore in NYC. Writing in script on the back cover: Laying down my pen I find myself humming a melody ~of long ago a song of ~a swampy woodland a hue I once lingered beneath fast-moving clouds~ beguiled by everything McNally Jackson bookmark. The top right corner made to look as if it’s a dog-eared page (I would never but I won’t judge if you do).

Finally loaded my Lamy up. I’m finding that I’m not an EF person. I need that juice
Bottle of ink and Lamy AL-Star fountain pen. Ink is Dominant Industry in the color Unknown Land. The pen is a light champagne color. I press too hard for an extra fine nib. I’ve broken many a pencil point in my life so I should’ve known. Swatch / name of ink written in the color itself which is a light, golden brown. It’s too pale of a color for the extra fine nib. It’s giving light brown sugar. There is an illustration of a cat wearing a red scarf with red mittens by its paws on the lower right corner.

Bookery’s booksellers are so creative when it comes to crafting covers for their blind date with a book display

Someone (or ones) had themselves a mighty feast
Several ears of dried corn absolutely annihilated by some critters shoring up their winter stores. Every kernel save for two or three are gone. Amazing work. 11/10 Small empty ear of dried corn next to a tiny white pumpkin. Several ears of dried corn lying about, nary a kernel to be found. I think this happened in a single day or overnight. Glad to help feed some critters.

Oh nothing, just thinking about the Eames chair I saw a few weeks ago
Gray plastic-molded Eames chair from the late 40s. I audibly gasped when I saw it in the antique shop. I told the proprietress to just keep it. She said she just might. The price tag that reads $995. That’s a no from me.

Update: haunted beach ball tried to flee and got trapped
Beach ball wedged between my neighbor’s tree and a fence. I’m sure I’m on their cams trying to look like I’m not taking a pic of their trees. I hope the beach ball goes back to the realm in which it belongs.
