Halfway through it now and it’s like I’ve stuck a fork in a socket and held on. I love noir movies and, for some reason, always held off on this one. It’s reaffirming my love of movies and my career (not being good at making movies)

Trust me, you’d hate it. If you lived in a quiet, mixed-use building and a popular restaurant opened beneath you, it’s an awful way to live. Especially if you can’t afford to move.
