The Soul Cages by Sting stems from losing his father in 1989 and an interest in his hometown, which paints the soundscape of a shipyard, one of my favourite themes.

Today in 1985 Chris Isaak released his debut Silvertone. Perfect for David Lynch film moods, Gone Ridin' featured in Blue Velvet. Fun fact: Isaak played FBI agent Chester Desmond in Twin Peaks and the album cover for Silvertone is an apparent homage to Elvis Presley's Don't. #chrisisaak #silvertone
