On the back of this 'is it real, is it doctored?' (no pun intended) image, a storyline comes to me. Mid-regeneration, in the form of Piper, the Doctor has Xmas encounters with past selves, culminating in the regeneration solidifying into the next Doctor (who might not be seen).

I've told you how I used to own the whole thing in hardcover, haven't I? Don't think I ever showed what it looked like. Part of me wishes I'd kept them, but the house is overflowing with books... and they did sell for a pretty penny :)

They did so well with it; good stuff. Sidebar: I fear for the Amazon era. There is potential to get it right. There is also potential - and I think bigger potential - to balls it up. That recent erasing guns from the old promos to make them look like they're doing a wanking hand gesture... what the?

Finally got around to watching FURIOSA. Can't call it a work of genius and the reliance on CGI was shocking (for a film maker who has always prided himself on doing stuff 'for real'), but in terms of taking the weirdness of the world of Mad Max and playing with it - pretty good.

It's scary, the replies to my recent posts and video on JMS for showrunner, that don't realise he's a UK resident these days, or the true breadth of his writing career. He's a true legend of sci-fi writing, offering himself to the BBC, and it's sat there for years, with a finger up its nose.

Has anyone stood up after this #DoctorWho S13 boxset and defended, or at least explained, the thinking behind the restoration work that's landing so badly with people? Surely someone watched this and signed off on it before it went out. What was the approval process there?
